Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Undebtor. Written to be read, not to be survived.

1.Who you are contracting with
Undebtor is operated by João Paulino, an individual based in Portugal. Undebtor is not yet incorporated as a company. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “Undebtor” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.

2.What Undebtor is, and what it is not
Undebtor is a tool for tracking debts you enter yourself and projecting when they will be paid off. It models two repayment strategies, Avalanche and Snowball, and shows what happens to your timeline when you pay more than the minimum.
Undebtor does not provide financial, legal, tax, debt-counselling or investment advice, and is not regulated as a financial services provider. Nothing in the app is a personal recommendation. Every figure it shows is a projection calculated from numbers you typed in, and projections are not promises.
If your debts are unmanageable, speak to a qualified debt adviser or a non-profit debt counselling service in your country. Undebtor is not a substitute for that conversation, and we would rather you had it.
3.About the numbers
Undebtor calculates from the balances, interest rates and payments you enter. It does not connect to your bank, read your statements automatically, or verify anything against your lender.
- Projections assume your figures are accurate and that your circumstances stay broadly the same. If a rate changes, a fee is charged, or a payment is missed, the real outcome will differ.
- Interest is modelled on a standard monthly compounding basis. Your lender may calculate daily, apply fees, or treat overpayments differently, so your actual payoff date can move.
- Always treat your lender’s own statements as the authoritative record of what you owe. Where Undebtor and your lender disagree, your lender is right.
We work hard to keep the calculations correct, and we will fix errors when we find them. But you remain responsible for the financial decisions you make.
4.Who can use Undebtor
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Undebtor is for your own personal use. One account belongs to one person. Do not share your login.
5.Your account
- Give accurate registration details and keep your email address current, since it is how we reach you about your account and your billing.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@undebtor.com if you think someone else has access.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is covered in the Privacy Policy.
6.Plans, prices and billing
Undebtor has a free plan and paid plans. Current prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. Prices are shown in euros.
Lemon Squeezy, LLC is the merchant of record for every purchase. They process the payment, act as the seller for that transaction, and handle sales tax and VAT. Your card statement will show a charge from Lemon Squeezy, not from Undebtor. Undebtor never receives or stores your card details.
- Recurring billing. Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically each billing period until you cancel, and the card on file is charged at the start of each period.
- Tax. Any VAT or sales tax due is calculated and added at checkout by the merchant of record, based on your location.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may downgrade your account to the free plan. Your data is not deleted when this happens. Debts beyond the free plan’s limit become read-only until you upgrade again.
- Price changes. We may change prices. If a change affects a subscription you already hold, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
7.Refunds and your right to withdraw
We offer a 14-day refund, no questions asked. The full terms are on the Refund Policy page.
As a consumer in the EU or UK you also have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Our refund policy is written to meet that right rather than to work around it, so you do not need to argue about which one applies.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Undebtor for anything unlawful, or to process anyone else’s data without their permission.
- Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or probe, scan or test our security without our written consent.
- Scrape the service, resell it, or use automated means to create accounts or place load on it beyond normal personal use.
- Reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it.
- Upload malicious code, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to support@undebtor.com before disclosing it publicly. We will not pursue you for good-faith research reported this way.
9.Your data stays yours
The debts, payments, notes and letters you enter belong to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to advertise to you.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it to produce your projections, back it up, and display it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
10.Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Undebtor available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to suspend access for maintenance, and we may change, add or remove features over time.
Features marked “coming soon” are not yet available and are not part of what you are paying for today. If we withdraw a paid feature you are actively relying on and offer nothing equivalent, contact us and we will sort out a fair resolution, which may include a refund of the unused part of your subscription.
11.Third-party services
Undebtor depends on third parties to operate: hosting, database, payment processing and the AI provider behind the Intelligence Hub. They are listed, with what each one receives, in the Privacy Policy. Their failures are not within our control, though we remain responsible to you for the service as a whole.
Where Undebtor links to a lender, refinancing provider or other outside site, that is for information. We are not responsible for their content, terms or products, and a link is not an endorsement or a recommendation to borrow.
12.Our intellectual property
The Undebtor name, logo, interface, copy and code are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. Using the service does not transfer any of it to you. You may not copy or reuse them beyond what the law allows without our written permission.
13.Suspension and termination
You can stop using Undebtor and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is being used unlawfully, or is creating a security or payment-fraud risk.
Except where the breach is serious or we are legally required to act immediately, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any subscription you have paid for.
14.Liability
Undebtor is provided as it is. To the extent the law permits, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions you take based on a projection.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. That includes death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and, if you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights under the consumer protection law of the country where you live. Those rights apply whatever these Terms say.
Where our liability can lawfully be capped, it is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50.
15.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use Undebtor after that date means you accept the new Terms. If you do not, you can cancel and request a refund of the unused portion of your subscription.
16.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
Please come to us first at support@undebtor.com. Almost everything is faster to fix directly. If we cannot resolve it and you are an EU consumer with a cross-border complaint, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) can assist free of charge. The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
17.General
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- Not enforcing a term straight away does not mean we have given it up.
- You may not transfer your account to someone else. We may transfer these Terms to a company we incorporate to operate Undebtor, or to a buyer of the business, provided your rights are not reduced.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
18.Contact
Questions about these Terms go to support@undebtor.com, or via the contact page.
